On June 14th there was a Flag Day Ceremony hosted by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Canandaigua Chapter. They donated a flag to the Village of Honeoye Falls and Town of Mendon which was flown over the US Capital. The flag was donated in honor of Revolutionary War Veteran and founder of Honeoye Falls Zebulon Norton.
Ceremony included the presentation of DAR American History Essay Award to Danica Simpson from the Town of Victor.
