Senior & Disabled Exemption changes

Mendon Seniors, 65 and older, and persons who are physically disabled can now receive an
exemption on their Monroe County Taxes for their primary residence.

Seniors or disabled persons with combined income of less than $58,400 of all property owners
can receive an exemption on their Monroe County taxes. This exemption is a sliding scale
depending on your level of income.

An application with a copy of your driver’s license and your 2021 Federal or State tax returns
are required.

All required paperwork needs to be submitted to the Town Assessor’s Office no later than
March 1, 2023.
