The November 3rd meeting of the Honeoye Falls – Mendon Historical Society will feature Peter Wisbey. The topic of his talk is “The Early Years of Genesee Country and Village Museum”. The program will focus on the creation of the living history museum by John “Jack” Wehle, President of Genesee Brewing Company, and include images of the moving and restoration of the village’s historic buildings.
Peter Wisbey has been curator of collections for Genesee Country & Museum in Mumford for over 15 years. He was previously the Executive Director of the Seward House Museum in Auburn and held curatorial positions in Massachusetts and New Jersey.
