Mendon Public Library 2021 Annual Report

The Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Mendon Public (MPL) is proud to announce the release of the 2021 Annual Report. This 19-page document is titled, “Beyond Our Walls” and contains reports from the MPL Director, Trustee President, Friends of MPL President, along with highlights of this past year, library statistics, and acknowledgement of our many generous donors.

Library Director Lyla Grills shares:

“People gathering in our beautiful library building certainly is a wonderful sight, and we look forward to welcoming you through our door in 2022. Still, we are grateful for new doors that were opened in 2021, and for meaningful opportunities that abound within our generous and talented community. In good times and bad, we strive to be an essential contributor to the quality of life in the Town of Mendon, and we thank you for allowing us to serve and meet your needs, wherever you are at.”

Some highlights from the report include:

29,451 people visited the Mendon Public Library in 2021
6,025 residents with active library cards and 936 new cards issued this year
85,146 items circulated
221 children registered for the Summer Reading Program
978 people participated in Summer Reading Program events
