Welcome to the Town of Mendon's, Highway Department.
The Highway Department exists to serve the needs of Mendon's residents and the needs of those who pass through our community.
We have developed this website in an effort to inform our residents about their Highway Department, the Highway Department's activities, and the Department's personnel.

Our mission at the Highway and Buildings & Grounds Departments is to provide the safest possible means of travel for the residents and visitors of the Town of Mendon. Additionally, we make every effort to secure the safe operating conditions of our Buildings and Grounds facilities and recreation equipment.
11-15-17 HELP WANTED
Highway Department is seeking full-time employee willing to work, and possessing a clean Class B, C.D.L. License. Must be able to get to the Highway Department within 20 minutes on a call out basis, in addition to regular hours during the winter months. Manual labor will be required in addition to the operation of highway related equipment. Concrete and asphalt experience a plus. Pre-employment physical and drug testing is required. The Town of Mendon is an equal opportunity employer.

11-15-17 The tennis courts at Mendon Center have been closed for the season.
9-20-16 The Tennis Courts at Semmel Road Park have been closed till further notice for repairs to the court surface.
5-29-13 The EMERALD ASH BORER is an invasive species that attacks ash trees by burrowing under the bark and laying its larvae. Preventive measures are strictly regulated, expensive, and temporary. Many web sites provide a wealth of information on the the borer, with the Cornell University Cooperative Extension hosting one. If you have ash trees, or want further information, click here.

Town of Mendon and the Linear Trail that runs
through the Town of Mendon.
The Town of Mendon has several parks and these parks are supported by the tax base of the Town, and other fees. The majority of the maintenance within these parks is conducted by Mendon's Highway Department.
