Welcome to the Town of Mendon's, Highway Department. The Highway Department exists to serve the needs of Mendon's residents and the needs of those who pass through our community.
We have developed this website in an effort to inform our residents about their Highway Department, the Highway Department's activities, and the Department's personnel.
Comments are always welcome.
Our mission at the Highway and Buildings & Grounds Departments is to provide the safest possible means of travel for the residents and visitors of the Town of Mendon. Additionally, we make every effort to secure the safe operating conditions of our Buildings and Grounds facilities and recreation equipment.
Fall, 2010 Brush Pickup:
The Highway Department will be conducting a fall roadside brush pickup commencing Monday, October 4. Guidelines remain the same.
**********NO MULCH************ This year, there will not be any mulch for pick up at the Highway Department. Last fall a contractor was hired to grind the brush at a cost of $450. The mulch was then hauled away by the contractor. The net savings to the Town was $14,000-$16,000.
